The document lists the administrative decisions of the IAI Executive Council on July 17, 2001, including the approval of the meeting agenda, corrections to the previous meeting's report, the composition of the Nomination Committee for the SAC, and recommendations for budget reporting and institutional restructuring.

• The Executive Council (CE) approved the agenda for its Thirteenth Meeting and the report from its Twelfth Meeting, the latter including three modifications and one comment.
• A Nomination Committee for the election of SAC members was approved, consisting of three CE members (Mary Kayano from Brazil, Mimi Breton from Canada, and Paul Filmer from the USA), SAC President John Stewart, and two Panamanian scientists, María Donoso and Abdiel J. Adames.
• The Council requested that the IAI Scientific Officer present emerging scientific results from IAI programs and that the Executive Directorate provide updates on the program budget in addition to the Basic Budget during future meetings.
• The CE assigned specific roles to its Vice Presidents: the First Vice President (Margaret Leinen) will work on the IAI External Evaluation, and the Second Vice President (Bárbara Garea) will work on the IAI 10th Anniversary document.
