Proposed update of the IAI strategic plan

The proposed update to the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) strategic plan outlines a long-term framework from 2019 to 2044, with specific current actions planned for 2024-2030. Specific goals include funding five Belmont Forum Collaborative Research Actions projects on climate, environment, and health by 2024, launching a call for proposals on Amazonia and tropical forests in 2024, and initiating a call on ocean, coasts, and islands by 2025.
• To ensure organizational sustainability (Theme III), the IAI plans to launch a new website by the end of 2024, establish an advisory committee of Indigenous People and Local Communities by 2025, and establish new headquarters in Central America and the Caribbean by 2025.
