STRATEGIC PLAN 2024–2030

The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) Strategic Plan 2024–2030 outlines a framework to address global environmental change in the Americas through three strategic themes: meeting the needs of Parties, developing science for sustainability, and ensuring the sustainability of the IAI.

• To strengthen regional science and policy, the IAI aims to promote transdisciplinary research via seed grants and funding calls, implement an Open Data Policy, and establish advisory committees for local communities and indigenous people.
• The plan includes goals to ensure the IAI's institutional sustainability by increasing the number of Member States, securing stable long-term financing, and expanding the organization's presence within the Caribbean and Central America.
