Quantification of IAI Contribution to Member Countries

The report estimates the financial contributions made by the IAI to its member countries since 1995, covering start-up grants, the Initial Science Program, the Collaborative Research Network Program, and various workshops and seminars.

• The estimation of IAI contributions since 1995 includes several specific funding streams: Start-up Grants (assigned to the Principal Investigator's country), the Initial Science Program (ISP), the Collaborative Research Network (CRN) Program, and IAI/GEF/WMO projects which encompass training courses, fellowships, satellite images, and equipment upgrades.
• The study includes workshops, seminars, and conferences conducted with full or partial IAI support from 1995 to the present, with support estimations derived from Directorate records or NSF information provided in 1996.
• The author notes that the figures should be viewed as an approximation, though it is considered the most detailed study on the issue to date.
