A notification from the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) announcing a change in the membership of its Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC).

• Dr. Patricia Balvanera from Mexico resigned from her position as a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) on May 11, 2021, after having been nominated by the SAC in 2020.
• Dr. Mercy Borbor from Ecuador, who was nominated as an alternate member of the SAC in 2020, has been appointed to fill the vacancy in the SAC until 2023. Dr. Borbor is an expert in coastal marine resources, climate, health, risk management, and urban ecology, and is currently part of the IAI steering committee for climate, environment, and health.
