N O T I F I C A T I O N

A notification from the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) regarding the development of an open data policy and principles, following a directive from the Conference of the Parties (CoP25).

• The Conference of the Parties (CoP25) in Bogota, 2017, issued Decision XXV/6, which directed the IAI Directorate to establish open data policy and principles based on the data policy document from IAI CoP 2, with the final document to be presented at the subsequent CoP.
• The Government of Uruguay, via the Agency for Electronic Government and Information and Knowledge Society (AGESIC), has provided the IAI Directorate access to its Open Data Catalog to assist in developing a similar system for Member Countries. This collaboration aims to identify the requirements for developing, implementing, and administering such a system, with results to be presented at CoP26.
