Aprobada Conferencia de las Partes (CoP) del IAI Vigésima tercera reunión

This document records the decisions made during the twenty-third meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), held in Lima, Peru, on June 24-25, 2015.

• The CoP established the leadership for its twenty-third session, appointing José Macharé of Peru as President, Rebecca Plumadore of Canada as First Vice President, and Jean-Pierre Ometto of Brazil as Second Vice President.
• The CoP approved the operational budget, the level of country contributions, and the Annual Plan for the 2015-2016 fiscal year, while also accepting the Financial Statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015.
• A working group consisting of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, the USA, and the Executive Directorate was created to define a work plan regarding open science within the IAI.
• The CoP expressed support for the IAI's participation in Future Earth, provided that this participation is based on an equitable partnership between regional and global entities and allows for future redesign flexibility.
• The CoP decided to compile a list of funding agencies by September that are interested in signing a Belmont-type agreement to fund IAI and international global change research projects.
