This report details the activities of the Executive Directorate of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) during the 2021-2022 intersessional period. It outlines achievements in scientific research, capacity building, and science-policy communication, specifically focusing on climate change, health, and transdisciplinary research in the Americas.

• The IAI expanded its capacity-building efforts through the Science, Technology, and Policy (STeP) Fellowship Program, which grew to include 45 fellows across 10 countries in less than two years. The current cohort consists of 12 men and 34 women from 41 different advanced degrees and disciplines, working in 30 public and private institutions.
