The IAI Executive Directorate has implemented several IT security and operational upgrades, including a software license audit, the installation of antivirus software, and a network reconfiguration to provide individual VoIP lines. • The IAI is seeking extraordinary funding totaling 30,000 USD to upgrade its website, which would cover technical platform review, database integration, the development of a document management system, and the creation of a more comprehensive country profile function.
• To support global change research, the IAI is promoting international standards for open information exchange and metadata, collaborating with the Belmont Forum on e-Infrastructure and participating in a World Data System (WDS) workshop in Rio de Janeiro in April 2018 focused on data management best practices in Latin America and the Caribbean.
