Informe de la Dirección Ejecutiva Desarrollo de capacidades

This report from the Executive Directorate of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) details capacity-building activities conducted between the 25th and 26th Conferences of the Parties (2017-2018). • The IAI utilizes a 'Seed Grant' program to support practical experience in interdisciplinary research and multinational networking, a model that has been replicated by the International Council for Science (ICSU).
• Digital outreach for capacity-building activities has seen significant growth, with over 10,666 social media visits in the last year and 8,259 people accessing webinars and live-streamed seminars in 2017.
• The Executive Directorate is proposing two new capacity-building programs: a Science and Technology Policy Fellowship and a Research Internship Program for early-career scientists, the latter having previously operated between 2006 and 2012 with partners in Brazil and the USA.
