Informe de la Dirección Ejecutiva del IAI a la Vigésima cuarta Conferencia de las Partes

• The IAI is transitioning from a US-funded scientific program toward a model with greater participation from all member countries. This includes the creation of an Inter-American Forum of Funding Agencies to help countries co-finance international research and act as a consortium in negotiations with the Belmont Forum.
• The IAI is collaborating with the UNFCCC to collect information on the potential impacts of the 1.5°C global average temperature increase limit. Models indicate that achieving this goal would require per capita emissions to be reduced from 7 to less than 2 tons of fossil carbon.
