Plan de Actividades del IAI para julio 2016 – junio 2017

The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) activity plan for July 2016 to June 2017 outlines institutional transitions, research initiatives focused on interdisciplinarity, capacity-building seminars, and science-policy engagement through international forums and partnerships.

• The IAI is managing institutional transitions, including the establishment of an office in Argentina and the pending closure of its administrative office in Brazil, the latter of which requires guidance from the Executive Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

• The IAI is pursuing strategic partnerships and international participation, including a planned Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with IPBES for September 2016 and participation in the High-Level Political Forum (July 11-20, 2016) regarding the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
