The initiative utilized an AI-powered grant submission platform supporting English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French, and included a transdisciplinary training program with over 100 participants, one-third of whom were indigenous peoples.
• The Executive Council proposed that member states designate national representatives based on institutional roles rather than specific individuals. This change aims to mitigate the challenges of high staff turnover, which currently leads to delays and interruptions in communication and coordination.
• The IAI has relocated its headquarters from Uruguay to Panama, currently operating from the City of Knowledge in Clayton. The Panamanian government, through SENACYT, has approved a multi-year agreement providing annual financial contributions to support the office and staff.
