• Projects must support the implementation of Ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) in LAC by helping people adapt to climate change, making active use of biodiversity, and being part of an urban territory's overall adaptation strategy. While projects are focused on urban areas, ecosystems located outside urban territories are eligible if the applicant demonstrates how the ecosystem's services contribute to an urban territory's climate change adaptation strategy.
• The duration of the project is 18 months following the acceptance of funds. The total grant value mentioned for the group is US$ 37,500, and while cost-sharing (in-kind) is not mandatory, it is viewed as a way to strengthen the proposal.
• Winning projects are required to join the EPIC-N network and undergo a certification process. The application process is participatory, and at least one team member must complete the mandatory training to be eligible to submit a full proposal.
