Lista de Acciones DÌa 2: 3 de diciembre

This document is a list of actions approved during the second day of the Sixteenth Meeting of the Executive Council (EC) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), held on December 3, 2002, in Panama City, Panama.

• The Executive Council (EC) approved the final report from the Working Group to Increase Country Commitment to the IAI and instructed the Executive Director to implement its recommendations, incorporating suggestions from the meeting.
• The EC approved a report titled 'An Analysis of IAI ad hoc Comittees', submitted by US delegate Dr. Paul Filmer, which suggests the dissolution of several committees and working groups.
• The United States confirmed it will host the Seventeenth Meeting of the EC and the Tenth Meeting of the CoP in Boulder, Colorado, on June 2-3 and June 5-6, 2003, with a Scientific Forum scheduled for June 4, 2003.
• Costa Rica's offer to host the Eighteenth Meeting in November or December 2003 was accepted, provided no offer is received from a member country that has not previously hosted an IAI EC meeting.
