Decisions and actions

The document records the decisions and actions taken during the 41st Meeting of the IAI Executive Council held in Santiago, Chile, on 14 June 2016, covering administrative appointments, financial approvals, and governance changes.

• The Executive Council (EC) established committees to recommend candidates for the IAI SAC (comprising Argentina, Brazil, Canada, and Chile) and the IAI SPAC (comprising Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, and the USA), with reports to be presented at the CoP.
• The EC approved several financial matters to be forwarded to the CoP, including the Core Budget request for 2016-2017, unchanged Country Contributions for 2016-2017, and the Financial Report and Statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015.
• Regarding leadership, the EC noted that the Director Search Process was interrupted due to procedural errors. It affirmed the current Director's term as a three-year term with eligibility for one additional term, while simultaneously asking the CoP to consider amending the Agreement Establishing the IAI to extend the term to 4 years (renewable once).
