Lista de acciones

This document is a list of actions from the 30th Meeting of the Executive Council (EC) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), held in Brasilia, Brazil, on June 11, 2010.

• The Executive Council elected its Board of Directors by acclamation, appointing Paul Filmer from the USA as President, Carlos Ereño from Argentina as First Vice President, and Ricardo Lozano from Colombia as Second Vice President.
• Executive Council members committed to identifying contact points within national delegations to the UNFCCC to inform them of IAI activities, with a potential briefing meeting to be organized in Cancun by the representative of Colombia and the IAI Executive Directorate.
• A group consisting of the IAI Executive Director, the EC President, and designated SAC members will compile material for a strategic plan, which is to be distributed to the EC and Venezuela in August and ready for approval at the next CoP.
• To strengthen member country relations, Argentina will attempt to contact Uruguay, Mexico will contact Guatemala, and the USA will use diplomatic channels to reach both active and less participative countries.
• The EC decided that future meeting agendas will include an item reporting on efforts to attract member country interest; Brazil will track previous efforts by the Executive Directorate and report at the next EC meeting.
