Informe a la Conferencia de las Partes

The Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) report details its administrative transitions, including the election of Edwin Castellanos as president and the resignation of Trevor Platt. • A professional development seminar on "Transdisciplinary Approaches to integrate science and policies for sustainability" took place in the Dominican Republic from November 28 to December 2, 2016, involving researchers and professionals from the Americas.
• The SAC has recommended that the Conference of Parties (CoP) expand the membership of the committee to include a broader spectrum of sciences, specifically increasing social science representation, and improving geographic representation in the Americas and the Caribbean, as well as North America and northern South America.
