IAI Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) Report to the Conference of the Parties

The IAI Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) report from June 2017 details the committee's activities, including the election of Edwin Castellanos as chair, participation in international climate dialogues, and the planning of two publications to mark the IAI's 25th anniversary.

• The SAC is seeking to diversify its membership for upcoming appointments in Colombia, specifically recommending an increase in social science representation and broader geographical representation from North America, northern South America, the Caribbean, and Central America.
• The SAC played an active role in the selection and transition of the new IAI director, providing input on candidates and finalists, and intends to support the new director in developing a new small grants program.
