Lista de Acciones Día 1 – 30 de junio

This briefing outlines the actions taken during the first day (June 30, 2004) of the Eleventh Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI).

• The CoP elected the Board of Directors for its Eleventh Meeting, appointing Agueda Menvielle of Argentina as President, Nuris Orihuela of Venezuela as First Vice President, and Michel Béland of Canada as Second Vice President.

• The Accreditation Committee reported that 16 delegations submitted credentials: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador, United States, Guatemala, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
• The CoP approved the report from its Tenth Meeting without changes and requested the Standing Committee on Rules and Procedures to draft nomination procedures for the Scientific Advisory Committee for the next CE meeting.
