Lista de Acciones Día 1 – 30 de junio

The Eleventh Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research established its leadership, approved its agenda and previous meeting report, verified the credentials of 16 member delegations, and requested new nomination rules for the Scientific Advisory Committee.

• The CoP elected its Board of Directors for the Eleventh Meeting, appointing Agueda Menvielle of Argentina as President, Nuris Orihuela of Venezuela as First Vice President, and Michel Béland of Canada as Second Vice President.
• The CoP approved the meeting agenda with modifications to the presentation of the Executive Committee (CE) President's report and the focus of the closed session, which will now discuss the selection process for a new Executive Director.
• The Accreditation Committee confirmed that 16 delegations submitted credentials: Argentina, Brasil, Canadá, Costa Rica, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador, Estados Unidos, Guatemala, Jamaica, México, Panamá, Paraguay, República Dominicana, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
• The CoP requested the Standing Committee on Rules and Procedures to draft nomination procedure rules for the Scientific Advisory Committee for presentation at the next Executive Committee meeting.
