Passing Infrastructure an Important First Step

GreenLatinos supports the Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework for its investments in public transit, lead pipe replacement, and electric grid modernization, while calling for the immediate passage of the Build Back Better Act to address the climate crisis and protect frontline Latino communities.

• The Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework is expected to provide the largest federal investments in public transit and passenger rail since Amtrak's inception, replace lead pipes for clean drinking water, and modernize the electric grid with the largest investment in electric vehicle infrastructure in US history, all while creating union jobs.
• GreenLatinos asserts that the Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework is only one part of the agenda and that the Build Back Better Act must be passed to provide significant investments in clean energy and climate action to reduce carbon pollution and protect frontline communities from climate change.
