Request for Quotation Terms of Reference

This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by GreenCape for a project manager and technical skills lead to scale and deliver a project focused on demand-led skills development in the green economy.

• GreenCape is seeking a service provider to design, manage, and deliver a central online platform intended to serve as a communication and planning hub for skills priorities in the renewable energy sector. This hub will connect Industry, Post School Education & Training Institutions, Sector Education & Training Authorities, and Social Impact Partners.
• The project's scope includes mapping foundational skills for the renewable energy value chain, linking those skills to existing qualifications, facilitating the implementation of new or amended competencies, and supporting youth development and demand-led training.
• The initiative is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) via the UK PACT (Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions) flagship programme under the International Climate Finance (ICF) portfolio. It aims to support the South African Renewable Energy Masterplan, specifically ensuring key elements are located in Mpumalanga.
• The contract period is scheduled from 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2025, with an estimated workload of 1-2 days per week. The successful provider must have at least three years of project management experience with multi-disciplinary teams and experience in skills development within the South African Green Economy.
