REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) Power BI Hydrogen Job Role Database Tool: Design and User interface

GreenCape has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a service provider to design a Power BI-based database tool and user interface. The tool will serve as a centralized repository of hydrogen value chain job roles and associated skills, derived from an existing Excel dataset synthesized from seven skills needs assessments.

• GreenCape is seeking a service provider to develop a public Power BI tool based on a Microsoft Excel database containing 693 roles across seven worksheets, which was synthesized from seven skills needs assessments.
• The primary purpose of the tool is to provide a user-friendly, centralized information source for international organizations, government agencies, and industry representatives to gain insights into hydrogen economy job roles and skills, as well as to help training institutions develop relevant curricula.
• The required technical specifications for the Power BI tool include the ability to search by user-defined keywords, filter roles by assigned tags, generate downloadable PDF reports, and maintain a user interface aligned with the branding of an international host organization.
• The project is funded by the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSI) through the DSI Energy Secretariat at the South African National Energy Development Institute (SANEDI).
• The project timeline requires the final database tool to be integrated into the host website and accompanying documentation to be completed by 30 April 2025, with limited maintenance support provided until 31 December 2025.
• Proposals will be evaluated based on a weighting of functionality and price (50/50) or functionality, price, and B-BBEE status (50/30/20). Functionality criteria include the proposed approach, team composition, track record, adherence to scope, and innovation.
