ATLANTIS SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE: TECHNICAL INVESTOR BROCHURE

The City of Cape Town allocated approximately R80 million for bulk electricity upgrades to increase power supply by roughly 50 MVA.
• Atlantis is strategically located 40 km from the Cape Town CBD and is integrated into freight networks via the N7 and R27 routes, with proximity to the Port of Cape Town and the Port of Saldanha Bay (105 km away). Public transport is supported by the MyCiti bus rapid transit service, which has been extended to include Atlantis.
• Investor support is centralized through the Cape Investor Centre, a one-stop-shop established by the Western Cape Government and Wesgro. Additional support is provided by GreenCape, the Atlantis Investment Facilitation Office (AIFO), the South African Renewable Business Incubator (SAREBI), and the South African Manufacturing Demonstration Technology Centre (SMDTC).
• The local labor market provides a range of skills, with a strong supply of semi-skilled and unskilled labor. Specialized training is available through the West Coast College's Atlantis campus and SARETEC at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Monthly gross wages for manufacturing roles range from R8,000–R14,000 for skilled workers to R50,000+ for R&D and Production Managers.
