OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE Report on the ASEZ-CSN Elections March 2019

Specifically, the Atlantis Tech Hub (Youth sector) and the Atlantis Economic Development Agency (Business SMME sector) failed to meet criteria in critical areas. In the Civic Organisations sector, both Dream Team and the South African Residents Civic Organisation failed to meet the criteria.
• The OC identified several areas for improvement in the process, noting a lack of a 'Global definitions index' to clarify eligibility, which led to unqualified organisations being registered and included on ballot papers. The OC also suggested that a reputable local media house should have been used for communication and that a formal appeals process should be established by the Licensee.
• The resulting ASEZ-CSN is described as a diverse and representative forum that matches the demographics of the Atlantis community, though the OC noted that diversity should remain a priority for the network moving forward.
