Indicadores de desempeño de las esferas de resultados iniciales del GCF

The document defines performance indicators for the Green Climate Fund's (GCF) initial result areas, categorised by project-level outputs and transformative impacts. Mitigation indicators focus on tCO2 equivalent reductions across urban planning, buildings, transport, industry, renewable energy, land use, and carbon capture. Adaptation indicators measure environmental effectiveness using disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) and wealth units (USD), alongside cost-effectiveness, secondary benefits, and institutional viability. Transformative impact indicators track national and global trends in carbon intensity and sustainable city design.

• The GCF tracks mitigation performance through project-level indicators including reductions in tCO2 eq from sustainable city governance, buildings, appliances, and industrial production, as well as the deployment of low-carbon energy technologies and carbon capture and storage projects.
• Adaptation performance is measured by environmental effectiveness—specifically through disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) and wealth units in USD—as well as cost-effectiveness, secondary benefits, and institutional viability.
• Transformative impact indicators assess the overall influence of the GCF on development pathways by monitoring national and global trends in carbon intensity of sectors (tCO2/GDP) and the facilitation of sustainable city design (tCO2/capita).
