This stakeholder toolkit provides a directory of digital tools, monitoring platforms, and organizational coalitions designed to track deforestation, map supply chains, document land rights, and hold private sector actors accountable for forest commitments.

• Global Forest Watch (GFW), led by the World Resources Institute, offers several public online tools for forest monitoring: Forest Watcher for mobile alerts on deforestation and fires; Global Forest Watch Pro for monitoring agricultural holdings and jurisdictions; Radar for Detecting Deforestation for spatial data on land use and biodiversity; and MapBuilder for creating custom maps using WRI analysis.
• Several data-driven initiatives focus on supply chain transparency and corporate accountability: Trase maps supply chains to help civil society and journalists monitor companies contributing to deforestation, and Supply Change, an initiative by Forest Trends, tracks the progress of companies in meeting forest commitments regarding commodity production and demand.
• Tools and frameworks exist to support land rights and indigenous peoples: Mapeo is open-source software created with indigenous peoples to document environmental and human rights data, and the Land Rights Standard is a framework supported by 74 indigenous and civil society organizations to strengthen the recognition of rights for Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and Afro-descendant peoples in climate and sustainable development actions.
• The toolkit lists several international coalitions: the Accountability Framework Initiative focuses on protecting ecosystems and human rights in commodity trade; the Tropical Forest Alliance consists of 170 entities supporting the removal of deforestation from private sector supply chains; the Forest Collaboration Partnership is an informal coalition of 15 organizations aiming to improve forest management for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development; and the NGO Forest Coalition is a UK-based group working internationally on climate change, biodiversity, and human rights.
