Internationalist Solidarity with migrants in the United States

Friends of the Earth International (FoEI) denounces the violence and racial profiling carried out by US agencies including ICE, CBP, and DHS, citing 38 known deaths in ICE custody since 2025. The organization argues that border militarisation reinforces racism and xenophobia, and asserts that migration is a natural form of climate adaptation in response to environmental and political uncertainty. FoEI calls for the abolition of ICE and the establishment of safe, dignified migration pathways.

• US immigration and border agencies, specifically ICE, CBP, and DHS, have engaged in racial profiling and medical neglect, resulting in 38 known deaths in ICE custody since 2025.
• The border and surveillance industry is described as a mechanism that separates families, erodes human rights, and promotes global xenophobia, with Black and Brown people disproportionately affected by state violence.
• Detainees in ICE facilities face violations of basic human rights, including reports of overcrowding and a lack of access to food, water, medicine, and hygiene facilities.
• Migration is framed as a form of climate adaptation and a natural human response to changing conditions, including environmental, political, or economic uncertainty driven by imperial powers and transnational corporations.
