Statement on the attacks in Israel from Sherri Goodman and Christine Parthemore

The Council on Strategic Risks condemns the atrocities committed by Hamas against civilians in Israel, echoes the support of world leaders for the Israeli people, and notes the rising trend of global antisemitism.

• The authors condemn the terrorist acts and slaughter of innocent civilians, including children and the elderly, carried out by Hamas.
• The document asserts that while the Palestinian people have legitimate aspirations for justice and freedom, Hamas does not represent those goals and instead brings terror and bloodshed.
• There is a noted increase in antisemitism both within the United States and globally, which the authors describe as a dangerous and unacceptable trend.
