Combate ao Desmatamento Ilegal

• Remote sensing monitoring has been expanded from the Amazon to the Cerrado, covering 73% of the national territory in near real-time, but the report recommends extending this to all other biomes.
• Since 2010, approximately two-thirds of deforestation in the Amazon occurred on public lands, with 30% in agrarian reform settlements and 25% in non-designated areas, indicating a need for land tenure regularization policies.
