Climate Finance in 2013-14 and the USD 100 Billion Goal

This report, produced by the OECD and Climate Policy Initiative, provides preliminary estimates of climate finance mobilized by developed countries for developing countries in 2013 and 2014 to track progress toward the USD 100 billion annual goal by 2020.

• Preliminary estimates indicate that climate finance reached USD 52 billion in 2013 and USD 62 billion in 2014, resulting in an annual average of USD 57 billion over those two years.
• Bilateral public climate finance averaged USD 22.8 billion per year in 2013-14, which is an increase of more than 50% compared to the 2011-12 reporting period.
• Multilateral climate finance attributable to developed countries was estimated at USD 17.9 billion for the 2013-14 period.
