The bond is certified under the Climate Bonds Standard Version 2.1 and Low Carbon Buildings (Residential), with pre-issuance verification provided by Sustainalytics.
• The proceeds of the bond are designated for the financing and refinancing of residential building mortgages in Norway. Eligible properties include apartments complying with Norwegian building codes TEK10 or TEK17, other residential dwellings complying with TEK07, TEK10, or TEK17, and residential buildings constructed before 2009 that hold EPC-labels A, B, or C.
• Sparebanken Vest Boligkreditt AS is the fifth mortgage covered bond issuer in Norway to achieve this certification. The issuer is the covered bond subsidiary of Sparebanken Vest, which is ranked as the third largest savings bank in Norway.
• The issuer commits to producing an annual report on the allocation of proceeds until they are fully allocated. Additionally, a technical environmental consultant, Multiconsult, will produce an impact report featuring indicators such as emissions per floor area and energy use.
