This document is a variation of an Atmospheric Emission Licence (AEL) issued by the Nkangala District Municipality to Eskom Holdings SOC Limited for the Hendrina Power Station. • Eskom is required to install continuous emission monitoring equipment for particulate matter (PM), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and nitrogen oxides (NOx) on both stacks by 01 June 2015.
• The licence holder must submit an Emission Offset Programme to reduce PM pollution in the ambient or receiving environment by 31 March 2016.
• The facility is located within the Highveld Priority Area, and the licence holder must maintain a complaints register for noise, dust, and offensive odours, keeping records for at least five years.
