• Ambient air quality monitoring at the Hendrina station shows that SO2 and NO2 concentrations are generally within South African standards. However, ambient PM levels are in non-compliance, with 60 exceedances of the 24-hour limit value recorded in 2011 and 70 exceedances in 2012, primarily occurring between April and August.
