• The Mokolo Crocodile (West) Water Augmentation Project Phase 2 involves a transfer scheme moving water from the Crocodile River (West) at Vliepoort, near Thabazimbi, to the Lephalale area in Limpopo Province.
• The EIA Announcement phase has been completed, consisting of project notification via newspaper and onsite notices, distribution of a Background information Document, registration of Interested and Affected Parties (I&APs), and meetings with authorities and I&APs in May 2016.
• The project team is addressing technical issues raised by the Department of Water and Sanitation and the technical project team; the draft Scoping Report is scheduled for public review around April 2017.
