Response to enquiries Call for Expressions of Interest: Action Plan for the implementation of the Kenya National Climate Change Response Strategy (NCCRS)

This briefing document provides formal responses to enquiries regarding a Call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) to implement the Action Plan for the Kenya National Climate Change Response Strategy (NCCRS). It clarifies administrative requirements for bidders, the structure of consortium submissions, and the status of funding and scoping for the project's subcomponents.

• Bidders must submit original signed Non Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) to the CDKN Procurement Team by 15th April 2011, although electronic soft copies are sufficient for the Selection Document.
• The project consists of 9 subcomponents, including a specific focus on Co-ordination (Subcomponent 9) to ensure cohesion across different teams and recommendations. Funding for all 9 subcomponents has not yet been agreed upon.
• Subcomponent 4 focuses on national 'MRV baseline and reference scenarios' for all potential mitigation actions the Government may prioritise, with anticipated links to a performance and benefit measurement framework in Subcomponent 6.
• The budget, timeframe, and sequencing of subcomponents are not yet finalized and will be discussed with shortlisted suppliers and the Government of Kenya after the EOI deadline.
