GIVRAPD: Microinsurance Component Contrasting Coping in the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean

This working paper introduces the GIVRAPD project, a two-year study on climate change adaptation in St. Lucia, Jamaica, Mauritius, and Seychelles. It specifically details the Microinsurance Component's approach to analyzing demand and testing products to reduce vulnerability in these Small Island Developing States.

• The Global Islands’ Vulnerability Research, Adaptation, Policy and Development (GIVRAPD) Project is a two-year research initiative funded by the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN). The project aims to analyze the social, economic, governance, and environmental factors that influence vulnerability and the capacity to adapt to climate change within four Small Island Developing States: St. Lucia and Jamaica in the Caribbean, and Mauritius and Seychelles in the Indian Ocean.
