An Inventory of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Tourism related activities in Hue city, Vietnam

This report provides a general introduction to Hue City, Vietnam, and presents an inventory of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions resulting from tourism-related activities in 2011, based on data collected from fifty tourism-engaged entities.

• The report establishes a greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory for tourism-related activities in Hue City for the year 2011. The data for this inventory was gathered through face-to-face interviews and structured questionnaires administered to fifty entities of varying scales involved in the tourism sector.
• Hue is the sixth largest city in Vietnam, located in the central region. As of the 2009 national census, the population was 337,506, rising to approximately 339,000 by 2010. Tourism is identified as the city's most significant economic sector, although it faces various challenges.
