Canada's climate finance can do better

The Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE) criticizes Canada's low climate finance contributions relative to its wealth and emissions, urging the government to double its annual funding to $5.2 billion and prioritize adaptation for the most vulnerable communities.

• Canada's current climate finance contribution of Cdn $2.65 billion is considered below its fair share, especially as it is the only G7 nation with emissions that have increased since the signing of the Paris Agreement and has per capita emissions twice the G20 average.
