They help connect current decision-making with future goals, providing signals to investors and establishing sectoral transition pathways.
• The consortium recommends that COP30 encourage Parties to update LT-LEDS toward just transitions to net-zero emissions by COP31 and requests the UNFCCC Secretariat to prepare a third LT-LEDS Synthesis Report by COP31 to assess their effectiveness in shaping near-term action.
