Building International Climate Cooperation

This report by the World Resources Institute examines how lessons from weapons of mass destruction control and multinational economic arrangements can be applied to international climate cooperation to achieve a near-zero-carbon economy by 2050.

• The report analyzes the successes and failures of two specific global regimes—the control of weapons of mass destruction and multinational economic arrangements—to provide insights for climate negotiators seeking to enhance global action on greenhouse gas emissions.
