Designing a Customized Greenhouse Gas Calculation Tool

This guidebook provides instructions for technical staff on how to customize existing GHG Protocol calculation tools to better suit specific greenhouse gas programs or national and regional contexts.

• The guidebook is intended for technical staff at GHG programs, registries, local business or industry associations, and consultants to help them adapt GHG Protocol calculation tools for specific programs or to reflect regional and national circumstances.
• Customizing GHG calculation tools improves their utility for companies and other entities and allows GHG programs to more accurately collect the specific type and quality of data they require.
