• Burkina Faso's National Biodigester Programme (PNB-BF) achieved significant results by September 30, 2019, including the installation of 13,100 domestic biodigesters and one institutional biodigester of 40 m³, and the validation of 44,000 certified emission reduction units by the UNFCCC.
• In Madagascar, a cooperation project in the city of Toliara established a Waste Storage and Recovery Centre (CSVD) on 5 hectares, creating six value chains (organic, plastic, green waste, cardboard, scrap metal, and sandals) and generating over 100 jobs in sorting and recovery.
• The training session on Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) highlighted that the ability of states to justify GHG emissions and evaluate reduction initiatives depends on the mobilisation of technical, material, and financial resources.
