This report details a study tour conducted from November 12 to 16, 2012, in the Aguié department of the Maradi region in Niger. - Comparative tests in Saja Manja and Maifarou showed that crops fertilized with Takin Ruwa achieved significantly higher yields than those treated with urea or NPK. For example, in Saja Manja, a 1/4 hectare of millet treated with Takin Ruwa yielded 25 bottles (162.5 measures), compared to 7 bottles (45.5 measures) for the urea-treated plot.
- Takin Ruwa has acquired economic value in some villages, being stored for profit and sold in 25-liter containers for prices ranging from 500 FCFA in Saja Manja to 1,500 FCFA in Maifarou.
- To ensure consumer safety, the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends a one-month delay between the application of urine and the harvest of raw vegetables; however, in Aguié, a two-week delay was considered sufficient due to the hot climate.
