This report details a capacity-building training session held from February 22 to 27, 2021, in Somone, Senegal. The training focused on composting techniques, moving from theory to practice, to support the development of a green value chain for organic waste management in Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire.

• The curriculum was divided into three modules: Module A covered principles and fundamentals (context, chemistry, and physics); Module B focused on the composting process (input selection, characterization, recipes, and production); and Module C addressed quality control (physical, chemical, and sanitary aspects) and infrastructure for scaling production.
