PRINCE Final Report

The PRINCE Final Report describes the development of a hybrid model designed to track the environmental impacts of Swedish consumption, specifically to monitor the Generational Goal ensuring domestic improvements do not cause environmental or health issues abroad.

• The PRINCE project developed a hybrid model that integrates Sweden's environmental and economic accounts with Exiobase 3, a multi-regional input-output model. This system is intended for the regular monitoring of Swedish environmental policy objectives, specifically the Generational Goal (generationsmålet), which mandates that environmental gains in Sweden must not result in environmental or health problems in other countries.
• The project produced first-of-kind indicators regarding the aggregate impacts of hazardous chemical products, identified 'hotspot' countries and product groups related to Swedish consumption impacts, and created new indicators for the impacts of food production.
