PRINCE Final Report

The PRINCE project developed a hybrid model combining Swedish environmental and economic accounts with the Exiobase 3 multi-regional input-output model to track emissions and resource use across global supply chains driven by Swedish consumption. The project produced indicators for hazardous chemical products, food production, and identified 'hotspot' countries and product groups, while exploring various other environmental pressure indicators to ensure Swedish environmental improvements do not cause problems abroad.

• The PRINCE project created a hybrid model that integrates Swedish economic and environmental accounts with Exiobase 3, a multi-regional input-output model, to track the global emissions and natural resource use resulting from Swedish consumption.
• The project developed specific indicators to measure the aggregate impacts of hazardous chemical products, the impacts of food production, and the identification of 'hotspot' product groups and countries related to Swedish consumption.
• The developed indicators are intended to monitor the Swedish Generational Goal (generationsmålet), which mandates that environmental gains within Sweden must not result in environmental or health issues in other countries.
