Stakeholders' scoping of risk assessments: lessons from low-carbon transitions

This research paper analyzes risk characterization in decarbonization pathways across fifteen case studies in twelve countries, highlighting the difference in risk perception between academic experts and other stakeholders.

• The authors recommend that impact assessment modelling be paired with stakeholder engagement and qualitative research to ensure that risks that are difficult to quantify or model, including certain economic risks, are not overlooked.
