The 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement: Voluntary contributions towards thematic policy coherence | SEI

• The study identifies opportunities for synergy between the 2030 Agenda and NDCs. It employs content analysis of 164 NDCs to examine global connections and a more detailed analysis of targets within the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for six developing countries.
• For developing countries that lack a national sustainable development strategy (NSDS), the author suggests that addressing overlaps and gaps can promote thematic coherence and provide an opportunity to create NSDSs and increase the ambition of updated NDCs.
