Principles for co-producing climate services

This working paper reflects on the Future Resilience of African CiTies and Lands (FRACTAL) project (2015-2021) to identify principles for co-producing climate services aimed at climate-resilient urban development in southern Africa.

• The Future Resilience of African CiTies and Lands (FRACTAL) project operated from 2015 to 2021 across nine urban areas in southern Africa, focusing on the co-production of climate knowledge to support climate-resilient urban development.
• The paper examines climate services and the increasing focus on co-production to encourage mutual learning and partnerships among stakeholders, drawing on literature and the FRACTAL project, which was a component of the broader Future Climate For Africa (FCFA) programme.
