Cost-Benefit Reports

• The report aggregates costs and benefits from demand sectors, transformation modules, and the production, import, and export of fuels and resources. It can optionally include environmental externality costs if enabled in the settings.
• Costs are only recorded when there are both physical differences between scenarios and corresponding unit costs entered in the data tables; otherwise, scenarios may differ physically without showing cost differences.
• The tool calculates total cumulative avoided greenhouse gas emissions in tonnes of CO2 equivalent, utilizing 100-year integration global warming potential factors from the IPCC by default.
